After becoming a consultant, Alex completed the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia. This prestigious qualification requires rigorous knowledge and practice of all areas of regional anaesthesia (spinal anaesthesia, epidural anaesthesia and nerve blocks). He performs a high volume of nerve blocks in his orthopaedic practice.

Alex works in a busy district general hospital, a position which exposes him to all areas of anaesthesia with the exception of cardiac anaesthesia and neuroanaesthesia.
